Elara Aerospace e OLM hanno ottenuto dall'Aeronautica Militare e dal Ministero della Difesa l'autorizzazione per testare nel 2025 al PISQ in Sardegna il motore "Starlight" a metano e ossigeno liquido, in vista di un lancio suborbitale nel 2026. Il progetto mira a fare della Sardegna una base europea per lanci suborbitali e orbitali e servizi per la New Space Economy entro il 2030.

OLM has secured approval to test rocket engines at Sardinia's Salto di Quirra site, aiming for commercial suborbital launches by 2026. In partnership with Germany's Elara Aerospace, OLM will support tests of the student-built, reusable Starlight rocket, which can carry 50 kg to 130 km. Propulsion tests run through 2025, with full launch approval pending.
